SpaceX Signs Deal With Google Cloud For Satellite Broadband

Elon Musk s SpaceX announced Thursday that Google would team up with its Starlink satellite internet service to deliver cloud computing services to business customers.
Under the partnership, SpaceX will place its Starlink ground stations within Google data center properties, which can help the service support businesses requiring cloud-based applications.
Starlink is in the process of launching its satellite broadband internet service, which can reach customers without ground-based connections and is one of several space-based systems. Combining Starlink s high-speed, low-latency broadband with Google s infrastructure and capabilities provides global organizations with the secure and fast connection that modern organizations expect, said SpaceX president and chief operating officer Gwynne Shotwell.

By issuing a sweeping cybersecurity executive order on Wednesday, the Biden administration is attempting to take a critical step to address security issues that have come to light after recent cyberattacks.
The 30-page Executive Order on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity covers a host of cybersecurity issues. It describes how government agencies should evaluate the software they buy. And it calls for these agencies to adopt zero trust architectures and more secure cloud services.

In infrared, thermal emission glows brightly, with cooler regions duller red (a bit like lasagna); in ultraviolet, soft, cotton-candy pastels show us different altitudes.
